Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain viruses, Trojans, or other malware.

The cookie stores information that is related to the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we immediately become aware of your identity.

We use so-called session cookies to make the use of our website more pleasant for you. Session cookies store settings you have made for the duration of the session. These cookies are automatically deleted after you leave our website.

In addition, we also use permanent cookies to optimize user-friendliness. These cookies remain stored on your device until they reach their expiration date or are deleted by the user. If you visit our site again to use our services, it will automatically recognize that you have already been with us and what entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.

We have no influence on the storage period or deletion of cookies. The settings are made by the respective services or the user themselves.

As soon as you visit our website for the first time, a consent banner will be displayed, regardless of which page you land on first. The dialog box informs you about the use and storage period of the cookies we use. Some cookies are absolutely necessary and do not allow for individual settings, while other cookies help us to optimize our website and analyze traffic to our website. With optional cookies, you can decide for yourself which cookies should be set and make individual settings. Further information can be found in the following sections.

Consent Management Platform (CMP)

Since our website uses integrated third-party services (e.g., YouTube) and processes personal data in the process, we are legally obliged to inform you about the use of these services and to obtain your consent before using them. All declarations of consent must be logged as proof.

We therefore use the “Cookiebot” service from Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark, on this website for the following purposes:

  • Transparent information for visitors about the use of cookies

  • Free choice for visitors regarding the use of cookies

  • Storage of the user's consent status for cookies

The legal basis for the use of Cookiebot is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests arise from the above-mentioned purposes.

When consent is given via the consent banner, the following data is collected:

  • The end user's IP number in anonymized form (the last three digits are set to ‘0’)

  • Date and time of consent

  • User agent of the end user's browser

  • The URL from which the consent was sent

  • An anonymous, random, and encrypted key

  • The consent status of the end user, which serves as proof of consent

The data is stored for 12 months. After that, the banner will automatically reopen to renew your consent.

We have entered into a contract with Usercentrics for order processing. Details on the security of the processing of data collected by Usercentrics can be found in Usercentrics' privacy policy.

Web analytics

We use Matomo on this website. Matomo is open-source software for statistical analysis of visitor traffic. We use Matomo software to optimize the quality of our website and the content presented on it. Based on the statistics generated by Matomo on user behavior, we can continuously improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user.

Matomo uses cookies that are stored on your computer and enable an anonymous analysis of your use of the website. It is not possible to draw conclusions about a specific person, as your IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before storage.

Personal data will only be processed for the above-mentioned purpose if you have given your consent via the consent banner. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

We have concluded a contract with Matomo for order processing. For more information on the handling of personal data, please refer to Matomo's privacy policy.

This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data. The IP addresses are anonymized so that they cannot be assigned (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

You have given your consent to this via our opt-in cookie banner in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on the following link: Disable Google Analytics. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help Center (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

On this website, we link to the Google Maps map service. The provider is Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The processing of the IP address by Google is absolutely necessary for the display of the map. By visiting the website, Google also receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. If you have a Google user account and are logged in, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want this assignment to your Google profile, you must log out before activating the map.

Google is responsible for the use of data by Google. We have no influence on further data processing by the third-party provider. We would like to point out that when accessing/using Google, data may be transferred to third countries (e.g., the USA) where, under certain circumstances, a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot currently be guaranteed.

Basic information about data processing by Google, your rights in this regard, and settings options for protecting your privacy can be found in Google's privacy policy. Please contact Google to assert your rights as a data subject.

Videos

On this website, we use plugins from the Google-operated site YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. By using this service, we can display videos directly on the website and enable you to conveniently use the video playback function.

Personal data will only be processed for the above-mentioned purpose if you have given your consent via the consent banner. Consent can be revoked at any time.

The videos are only loaded and a connection to YouTube is established after the required cookies have been confirmed. If the required cookies have not been accepted in the consent banner, the visitor will see a placeholder for the video with a note that the content is blocked due to their consent settings. If the user updates their consent settings and accepts the relevant cookies, the placeholder is automatically hidden and the video preview is displayed. If a video is displayed despite the lack of confirmation in the cookie banner, the video is embedded locally on the website.

When the video is displayed, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. If you have a YouTube user account and are logged in, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want this association with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the video.

Requests by email, telephone, and fax

If you contact us by email, telephone, or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (e.g., name, contact details, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided that your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. If data processing is based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR or § 25 (1) TDDDG, you have the right to revoke your declaration of consent at any time with effect for the future. A declared revocation does not affect the legality of the processing carried out until the declaration of revocation. By deleting the cookies stored on our website, you can revoke your consent to data processing by the respective services.

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct marketing.
